Ronald Cole-turner ist Professor für Theologie und Ethik am Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (USA), Pastor der United Church of Christ  (UCC) und Vice President der International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR). Er is Autor von Transhumanism and Transcendence: Christian Hope in an Age of Technological Advancement,The New Genesis: Theology and the Genetic Revolution, der Co-Autor (zusammen mit Brent Waters) von Pastoral Genetics: Theology and Care at the Beginning of Life, der Herausgeber von Human Cloning: Religious Responses und von Beyond Cloning: Religion and the Remaking of Humanity, der Mitherausgeber von God and the Embryo: Religious Voices on Stem Cells and Cloning, Herausgeber von Design and Destiny: Jewish and Christian Perspectives on Human Germline Modification, und Herausgeber von Technology and Transcendence.
